Casa La Laguna cuisine has become a signature feature of your time with us. Over the past decade, Los Cabos has steadily grown to become a culinary destination celebrated by Chefs, foodies, and lovers of farm-to-table meals the world over.
This year in particular we have elevated to an even higher tier, both at CLL and in our local community. Between the bounty of the Sea of Cortez, the ideal climate that supports endless fruit, vegetables, and grains, Los Cabos is a food lover’s paradise! Our beloved Chefs Paco & Adriana, and Andy & Manuel, have crafted an out-of-this-world collection of dishes always using the best local, organic ingredients, and ensuring some new surprises always on order.
Outside our private paradise the culinary renaissance of Los Cabos continues at full tilt! Just here in local San Jose Del Cabo, we have seen FIVE award-winning restaurants open in 2023. Each of them expressing a unique, inspired take on our local culture as told through flavor, presentation, and finesse.
Some of our new favorites include
Yaya, an ode to Grandmothers all over the world; Chef Eliana Godinez brings culinary favorites from her own Italian-Mexican heritage to life in the contemporary space overlooking Chileno Bay’s striking three-tiered infinity pool.
Simaruba is another fabulous entrant into our neighborhood, Chef Marco Marin has crafted a diverse spread of small plates from the land, sea, and soil surrounding Los Cabos. Guests are encouraged to pair their meals with a generous offering of their award-winning craft cocktails, as they linger to take in live performances by local musicians in the restaurant’s outdoor plaza.
Semillon is one of the restaurants of national award winning chef Javier Plasencia; “Baja’s Chef”. Javier oversees a growing 5 Star restaurant group from Tijuana, to the Valle de Guadalupe near Ensenada, to Todos Santos, to Los Cabos. His father is credited with inventing the Caesar Salad at his first restaurant in Tijuana, always created table-side if on the menu at a Plasencia restaurant. Semillon has become a part of the vibrant Los Cabos Farm to Table scene, which is less than 10 minutes from Casa La Laguna.
ACRE, elegant and sophisticated, has taken the Farm to Table scene by storm in recent years. It is immediately adjacent to Flora Farms. With a very cool, romantic vibe including 5 Star craft cocktail offerings, landscape like no other, ACRE is a not to be missed experience.
Flora Farms, Just minutes from our private villa resort as well, is a perennial favorite, and has become an extension of sorts of the CLL experience, as has ACRE. With excellent live music nightly, cooking classes, gorgeous meals, and a vibrant farm-side setting it is always a relaxed and delicious evening. Flora Farms truly set the tone and was the leader in the development of the Los Cabos Farm to Table scene of Los Cabos. Like ACRE, it’s literally 7 minutes from Casa La Laguna.
