Check out our sister villa, Casa Esperanza, located in Pedregal, in the heart of Cabo San Lucas:7 bedrooms in 9,200 sq. ft., with killer sunset views overlooking the Pacific, and just a 5 minute walk to the very private Pedregal beach;(unusual for Pedregal). Â Access to Pedregal Spa & Gym, and tennis courts also included in rate.
Â
After a 12 day Indo boat surfing trip, Marilee met me in Singapore and we then went back to Indonesia, to Bali, and began a 9 day quest to furnish CLL with furniture, accessories, and original Balinese art. Â We are in fact doing it again for Casa Esperanza, which will be delivered in September, taking CE to the “CLL level”. Â We were in beautiful stores, not so beautiful factories & warehouses, etc. Â It was a true treasure hunt resulting in absolutely amazing value, and is why our tagline for CLL is, “Bali meets Mexican hacienda”.
Our goal was to avoid the heavy Mexican “colonial” look, and being ON the beach, to have CLL be a true beach house. Â We were very, very pleased with the result and everything has held up remarkably well over the last 10+ years. Â What we didn’t buy in Bali, we bought in Guadalajara, accenting the Mexican hacienda look. Â So we feel that we have truly created a beachfront paradise, only outdone by our incredible, world class staff of 9. Â It’s no wonder guests barely want to leave CLL during their stay; happens all the time!
My family roots and upbringing are in California agriculture on both sides of the family in Orange County, since the late 1800’s, including my father’s 4 farm machinery dealerships, 2 of which were in Imperial Valley at the Mexican border. Â Between working there and surfing Northern Baja in high school, I suppose Mexico has become part of my DNA, or as our staff likes to say, “Senor Doug es Medio Mexicano”. Â I love the culture, the people, and the language. Â My father always told me that Mexicans were better farmers and that their soil was better than ours. Â He was right. Â Their produce, fish from the Sea of Cortez, and meats are amazing. Â Add 3 incredible CLL chef teams (boy can Mexican chefs do flavors…) plus our gracious, serving in-villa butler and the rest of our amazing staff humbly & professionally serving you, and there you have it. Â Not to mention that Jacques Cousteau called the Sea of Cortez, “The World’s Aquarium”, including the biggest whale migration in the world, so what’s not to like?! Â Come on down!!
A special thanks to all of our guests who have enjoyed Casa La Laguna the last 10 years. We know you have many choices and are honored by your investment of time and money.  Marilee & I, Angel & Tina, and the rest of the staff look forward to serving you again in 2018 and 2019!
Saludos,
Doug and Marilee Schneider

Review of the MonthÂ
Â
We had the great fortune to spend a week at Casa La Laguna with our family and friends. Manager Angel, Butler Ener, Chefs Lalo & Ernesto, along with the rest of the team did an amazing job.
Â
We were able to relax and enjoy this amazing villa. Lalo and Ernesto made the most wonderful meals, and were great with the kids. We could not have asked for a more gracious and attentive butler/host in Ener. He made it easy and fun. We are so grateful.
Â
Thank you to the amazing Casa La Laguna team.
We appreciate all you did!
