Casa La Laguna took it head on because of our orientation and how the “eye” of the hurricane did what it did.  Our bedrooms/gym building was left untouched, but our exteriors, and the 3,000 sq. ft. Great Room & BR#1 were slammed.  But our amazing crew under manager Angel’s leadership, and amazing Tina, swung into action, overseeing the cleanup, obtaining bids, getting vendors out timely, and working with me on the insurance claim.  I made a quick buying/replacement trip to Guadalajara where we bought many items originally, which will be at CLL next week.  We will be 100% and back in business by the end of October!  CLL will actually look even better than ever because of improvements we were already doing in September, including the pools, plus replacement items, etc. because of the hurricane.  You will not believe it when you arrive!!

Los Cabos is coming back equally fast.  The airport re-opened on October 3, 5 days ahead off schedule, all but one of the golf courses are already open, fishing charters are running, most restaurants have re-opened, and almost all of the hotels are re-opening in October, and some in early November.  But don’t take my word for it; here’s a link that provides daily updates: http://www.cabosanlucastours.net/Hurricane_Odile/

So come on down! So many have asked, “What can we do?  How can we help?”  What Los Cabos needs the most is for people to realize we’re okay and to book a vacation.  We’re ready and will show our appreciation to you like never before.  At CLL, we have great availability from 11/29-12/20, as well as into the 1st quarter.  High season is just beginning, the sweet spot in Los Cabos, with the best weather AND prime whale watching.  They will be here shortly in a big way and as spectacular as ever.  No need to go on a whale excursion when they’re 50 yards off the villa all day long, just like the picture below, although excursions are available 5 minutes away at the Puerto Los Cabos marina!
